Hey, saw you in Krakow- first during the Jazz Klez, then the Shalom. You're incredible- a big "thank you" for proving that music still can be a great mystic moving force, and for taking the absolute best of two seemingly different worlds of sacral and rock? alternative? music. I hope to see you again next year, this time fully prepared for this unusual experiendce, but excited all the same:)

Dear Friends, a little 9-year old girl is crying out for our help. Olga is sick with cancer and urgently needs 100,000 Euro for bone marrow transplantation. Her parents do not have this money, but hope that kind and mercifull people somewhere in the world still exist.
In order to continue her life, a little 9-year old Ukrainian girl Olga Netyukhailo desperately and urgently needs your help.
Olga was diagnosed Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (blood cancer) and currently needs 100 000 Euros for bone marrow transplantation from unrelated donor.
This type of surgery cannot be made in Ukraine, therefore, Olga's parents brought a girl to Israel. Olga is hospitalized in "Hadassah" hospital (Jerusalem) and is staying there since December 2008. During these 3 month girl has been prepared for surgery - getting chemotherapy and waited for remission. But in addition to cancer, it was discovered that Olga's lungs are infected with fungus, which makes the treatment more complicated.

I saw your band at the world financial center tribute concert toJohnny Cash tribute. Your choice of instruments was interesting and sounded great! Your band reminded me of the 1980's band "Pigbag" because of the, to me, quirky rhythm shifts in both bands. That's a compliment! Do you have any CD's available yet?

My son, Joshua Urist, introduced me to the world of Jeremiah Lockwood and Sway Machinery. I was blown away by what I saw and heard. JL has fulfilled his stated intention (in his project description for his 6 Points Fellowship) to revive and revitalize cantorial music, and he has done so in breathtaking fashion. It's great that there is mainstream support for Jeremiah Lockwood's talent and vision. I'm thrilled that I got to hear him and his group live in Prospect Park in the Celebrate Brooklyn! festival. I was already invested in the group, since Josh's friends include Sway Machinery's Stuart Bogie and Colin Stetson, buddies from Michigan, but Jeremiah Lockwood's soulful transformation of cantorial music mesmerized me. -Rochel

I saw the Sway Machine in Williamsburg and was incredibly impressed. Not only did the band give me one of the best concerts I have ever seen, but they are something new - something you don't see everyday. Every member of this band makes the music - but especially the drummer who gives such a fresh style to a what I consider a boring part but essential part of the band.
